Jennifer and Demas’ Sneak Peek!!

and the month of fabulous weddings continues. . .

This past Friday, Hubby and I drove to Galveston to shoot Jennifer and Demas’s wedding. Jenn and Demas live in Maui, Hawaii and when Jenn called me last February and said they were getting married in Galveston, without thinking, my first question was, “Have you seen Galveston?” Jenn just laughed and assured me she had been to Galveston many times since Demas’ family lives there.

This year, we feel so blessed to be part of some of the most fun, laid-back weddings ever - and Jennifer and Demas’ wedding was no exception.

I went crazy again and this is my LONGEST sneak peek ever! :-P

The day started with Jenn getting her hair and makeup done at Lulu’s Salon in Galveston. It was so cute when the makeup artist asked Jenn what look she’d like and Jenn pulled out an envelope chock full of pictures to show. :-P

Details, detail details!!!!!

The dress (and Jenn!) were gorgeous and had a TON of buttons it took both of her bridesmaids to get it on her.

Walking down the aisle toward Demas.

More of the ceremony. . . (Greek Orthodox - in case you’re wondering)

After walking around the alter 3 or 4 times they were married! :-)

Happily Married!!

Then, as usual, it was time for some fun, relaxed portraits. . . :-)

Doesn’t Jenn look gorgeous??!!

and Demas didn’t look so bad himself. . .

just beautiful!!

Jenn and Demas - we had an awesome time shooting your wedding and wish you both all the best!! I will be sure to give you a call when we finally make it to Maui! Have a great time on you honeymoon!! :-)

Crystal and Brian’s Sneak Peek!

Where have I been??!! IN BED - I tell ya!! This first trimester has laid me out flat - all I want to do is sleep! I finally got out of bed, hopped in the car, and rode shotgun all the way up to Kennard, Texas to shoot Crystal and Brian’s wedding on 6-7-08 with hubby as my partner in crime.

This wedding was a really fun adventure for hubby and I. This was our first “destination wedding” and we had a blast. It was so nice to get out of the city and experience God’s country. Everyone was so laid back and the entire experience can be summarized in one word: fun!!! So without further ado, here is Crystal and Brian’s Sneak Peek!! (WARNING: I went a little crazy - so there’s alot more than the usual 4 or 5 images.)

Upon arriving to Kennard (~3 hours NE of Houston), we were treated to this:

Crystal looked radiant walking down the aisle.

ok. . .ok. . .stop bugging me!

This post is for my sisters who won’t stop bugging me to update the blog.  Hubby and I had the pleasure of shooting the W family this past Saturday.  Mom wanted a traditional family portrait including their pups! Their pups were soooooooo much fun! - and cute!  Here’s one image from the session:

okay - I’ve posted - happy now?? :-P

Ta daaa!!!!!!

Yesterday, hubby became Dr. Hubby!! :-)  For me it was a nerve wracking experience.  Of course, I did not tell him that. ;-) But all day my stomach was tied into a big knot and I could not eat nor focus on the work I had to get done.  I arrived a half-hour early and hubby was in the midst of setting up his presentation, looking for the sound guy, etc.

How it went down - Hubby presented his research which took about 45 minutes, following the presentation he fielded questions from the audience for about 10 minutes.  The questions from the audience were BOGUS, in my opinion.  Two faculty members asked him questions that had NOTHING to do with his research! They just wanted to see him squirm up there.   After the audience q&a, we were asked to leave and the actual DEFENSE started.  It was just hubby and his committee.  From what hubby told me, one by one each committee member took their shots at him.  When one committee member was done it was on to the next.  The questions were fair but it seemed to take a loooooonnnnngggg time.  (at least from my perspective since I was waiting outside :-P )  Well, after an hour or so hubby came out and announced he’s now a doctor! :-)

I am so proud of him! He’s worked very hard to reach this point in his career and it all came to fruition yesterday.

Congrats DR. hubby!!!

Today’s the day!

Today is hubby’s Defense day!!

We got into a huge argument last night which means he’s going to do GREAT! (for those who don’t know hubby and I snipe and argue with each other when we’re under stress. If we don’t argue, then there’s a problem.)  Last night’s argument ended with,

hubby: “”I can’t fight with you right now!!!”

me: “Fine!!! We’ll fight tomorrow after the defense!!!!!”

Wish him luck!

:-)

my favorite TWO images from Bluebonnet Mini-Sessions

Last Saturday’s bluebonnet mini-sessions went off without a hitch! Check out my favorites from Saturday -

This little guy is 2 1/2 years old and was a BUNDLE of energy!

Miss L is also 2 1/2 years old and enjoyed picking the flowers in her pretty yellow dress.

This is the week for hubby’s defense! Wish us luck! :-)

Stephanie and Jason are married!

Last weekend, hubby and I had the pleasure of shooting Stephanie and Jason’s wedding in Tomball, TX. It was an intimate, outdoor ceremony followed by a ROCKIN’ reception. Everyone there had a great time including the photographers. :-)

Their slideshow is LIVE and ready to be viewed! Enjoy and let us know what you think by leaving comments below.

It’s starting to become real. . .

Those who know us really well know that Hubby has been working toward this for a VERY long time. Hubby’s defense and graduation has always been on our minds and at times felt like a faraway dream. Today, his department released the invite to his defense and it’s starting to become VERY real. All of Hubby’s hard work - his blood, sweat and tears culminates to this last presentation.  Whew! I’m just nervous thinking about it.

Wish him luck by leaving comments below!

Let’s head to Bluebonnet Country!!

Muchos gracias to the peanut gallery for helping me with the flyer. ;-)
